So you’re getting married! Congratulations!! I know that you are probably in the throws of dress shopping, venue hunting, and color picking at the moment. So many details, so little time! I completely understand that there are things that may fall by the wayside just slightly. I want to talk to you about one of those things that it is easy to neglect in the months leading up to the big day. I want to talk about your hair. Yup that’s right. We need to have a conversation about your hair. I am sure that you have come across article after article about making sure that you stay hydrated so that you can have dewy skin to help out your makeup artist. Am I right? Well thinking about your hair is just as important. And there are a few great things that you can do prior to the big day to make sure that your hair turns out perfectly ON the big day.

1. Color and Cut:

Be sure that you have great color and a great cut for your big day. Talk to your stylist prior to your wedding and let him or her know just what type of hairstyle you will be sporting on your big day. The type of color and cut you will need in the months leading up to your wedding makes a huge difference. If you want to let your hair grow, let your stylist know! There are so many great products that can be used to help you achieve your goals!

2. Olaplex and Split End Treatments:

Olaplex is a bonding treatment; it helps color from damaging your hair. So if you are someone that colors your hair, especially if you are blonde, this is a great treatment to minimize the damage that coloring your hair might cause. That means that if you are growing your hair, you won’t have to trim quite so often. There are also great split end treatments that can be applied at your salon as well to help you with those long hair goals!

3. The Brazilian Blowout:

This is a MUST HAVE for every bride getting married here in the South in months that can be hot and humid. The Brazilian Blowout is a smoothing treatment that will work wonders for keeping the frizzies away. I am sure that you know how unpredictable the weather can be sometimes. So if it is humid or rains (!!!!) on your wedding day, this is a great way to ensure that your hair won’t suffer. It’s also not a bad idea to let your bridesmaids know either (maybe a little bridesmaid’s gift).
Be sure that you try out all of these things several months prior to your big day. That way if you aren’t happy, your hair has time to revert back to its natural state. But be sure that you don’t neglect your pre-wedding hair care! It’s just as important as your hair style on the wedding day.
