Activity Reported
  • Numerous accounts of trespassing (i.e., Community Pool).
  • Numerous street light outages.
  • Numerous cars parked on street, Club House or near new home site.
  • Suspicious cars parked in areas of minimum lighting.
  • Numerous accounts of theft at new home site.
  • At least 80% of golf carts and motorized 4-wheel vehicles in community without registration number/tag.
  • Numerous golf carts with no lights and out at nights.
  • Excessive speed of numerous golf carts and motorized 4-wheel vehicles.
  • High number of near mishaps of carts/motorized vehicles (i.e., Resident almost hit by a golf cart driven by a teen at their mail box).
  • Residents not playing golf, riding their personal cart down the golf course’s cart path.
  • Numerous residents walking and pushing strollers (with child) down golf course’s cart path.
  • Numerous occasion of speeding on Traditions Way and Cotton Gin.
  • Numerous incidents of Residents/Community Visitors failing to stop at the stop signs.

WHAT NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH IS AND IS NOT

Neighborhood Watch IS
  • A crime prevention program where neighbors “LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER!”
  • A crime prevention program that encourages Neighbor-Participants to get to know each other and their routines so that any out of place activity can be observed, recognized for what it is, reported and investigated.
  • A crime prevention program that teaches Participant’s techniques to reduce the risk of being victimized at home, in their vehicles and in public places.
  • A crime prevention program which trains Participants on the importance of recognizing suspicious activities and sounds, evaluate them and then how to properly report them.
  • A crime prevention program which teaches Participants how to make their homes more secure, to properly identify their property.
  • A cohesive body of concerned, involved, Neighbor-Participants addressing many issues that concern the entire community.

Neighborhood Watch IS NOT

  • A vigilante force working outside the normal procedures of the local police department or sheriff’s office.
  • A 100% guarantee that crime will not occur in your neighborhood.
  • A program designed for Participants to undertaken personal risks to deter crime.
